Seeing Red - a contemporary figurative painting by Joanie Springer
Well, let’s just say that this painting came about when I was “seeing red” about an issue that broadsided me. This is how I worked it out. Her eyes are glowing copper.

Mystical Mona - Contemporary Figurative Painting from Joanie Springer
Ah, Mona, at first she was brash and bold, and after looking her over a few days, I thought of using some tinted gesso to partially veil her. Methinks it worked!
